CLIC24 2009..... this time it's personal

Wow! Well we survived!

If the British weather is world renowned then it showed up in style at the 2009 event!! The only weather we didn't get through the course of the weekend was a full on tornado!!

A HUGE thank you to all the riders and support crews, families and friends who made this arguably the best event yet. 500 riders (just a small handful couldn't make it), literally thousands of laps and even more thousands of pounds raised for children with cancer and leukaemia. When all the sponsorship money is collected we estimate we'll have raised over £55,000 this year. If you are collecting then please do so whilst the event is fresh in your mind and still aching in your legs. You'll find it easier to do it that way and it helps us get the money faster to CLIC Sargent too.

As always a massive personal thank you to everyone involved in setting up, running and taking down the event. In particular Blagdon School PTA for food, beer and stewards, Jeremy Bennett, Chris Strong, Pip Sowden, Al Matthews, St John Ambulance, Bike City, Lumicycle, Phil Chave, Mendip Wood Shavings and my loyal Number Two, Mr David Ford.

Stay tuned with post-event updates through Facebook or Twitter

2009 Final Lap Count this is a collective equivalent mileage to twice around the coast of the British Isles in 24 hours!!

Current Total Raised (and increasing by the day....) = £26,000
